大概是五、六年前的2013年吧，第一次我在YouTube上，聽到Jacob Collier的獨腳戲音樂才藝表現，他重新編曲和演繹了Stevie Wonder的名作《”Don’t You Worry ’bout a Thing》，他除了施展了分身術，一手包辦所有聲部的Acapella(無伴奏合唱)，還彈奏了超過10種樂器(琴鍵、結他、低音大提琴，以及大量敲擊樂)，整個錄音錄影製作，都是在這位還是與父母同住的少年家中寢室中進行，所有的前期後期錄音錄影都是他他他和他，那一年，他只有18歲。
把Police樂隊的經典作品交響樂化的《Everything She Does Is Magic》，以及把經典流行曲聖樂化的《Moon River》，編曲都是令人聽得賞心悅目；《Djesse》像是一首帶點新古典味道的交響詩，曲式及和弦進行或暗或晴，歌曲後半段卻加入民族色彩的敲擊；《Home is》用純人聲無伴奏清唱，勾劃出一幅如天籟般的空靈美聲構圖；《Make Me Cry》和《Time To Rest Your Weary Head》又令人聽起來像沉思冥想。
